The Secret to Beautiful Skin

In today’s assaulting environment with harsh UV rays, pollutants and free radicals, it can be difficult to keep your skin looking fresh, young and vibrant. Here are a few things you can do to protect your skin and even start reversing the aging process keeping you looking your best.

1. Drink water and lots of it. When the skin is properly hydrated, it looks younger and more radiant. Drink the recommended amount of water and you’ll see the difference in the mirror.

2. Steer clear of all Sodas and sugary drinks (including “diet” sodas). The sugar in sodas and other sugary drinks can cause adult acne and other problems. Aspartame in diet soda can also cause diabetes.

3. Never, never, never go to bed with make up on. It does not matter how late it is or how tired you feel, this essential step will save your face in the long run.

4. Eat healthy. Eating a balanced diet of nutritious foods will help your skin regenerate and keep it looking great. Dark leafy greens and other vegetables contain vitamins and are rich in a carotenoid called lutein which not only will help make your skin look great but have many other health benefits too.

5. Get a good nights rest. They don’t call it beauty sleep for nothing! When you sleep, your body goes into a repair cycle and your skin cells regenerate. Experts agree that getting at least 8 hours of shut eye per night is best.

6. Use and stick to a good skin care regimen.  My absolute favorite regimen was developed by the beautiful famous Dermatologists who introduced their acne treatments to millions through Jessica Simpson sponsored infomercials.  The products use med therapy and natural botanicals to help stimulate natural collagen production, and diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I use it in the morning and before I go to bed every night and everyone always comments on how great my skin looks. The eye cream is amazing too.

You can find this product online by sending a blank email to product@skinregimens.com and a product link will instantly be sent to you or go to www.skinregimens.com to check out my blog.

Can the Benefits of Make-up Create a More Beautiful You

It has long been said that ‘beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder’, but to be honest, it also lies in some well practiced make up tricks and cutting edge cosmetics. Today’s new make-up has flooded the fashion and beauty industry and is in fact a growing world wide billion dollar industry. The right make-up application can work miracles for a woman’s looks not to mention her self esteem. If you need a confidence booster just head straight to your nearest department store for a complete make over from one of the well known cosmetic lines Make-up adds just the right color and definition to the face and can highlight your best features as well as disguising facial imperfections. Admittedly, one may be blessed with the best of features yet with the benefit of make-up there is always room for improvement. Make- up has been worn by women as an adornment since the times of Cleopatra and has been used by each generation of women to attract the opposite sex as well as enhance their natural beauty.

Choosing the right level of coverage and color in your foundation will act as the basis for the entire make up application that will follow, just as a painter chooses the correct canvas and color hues to begin his masterpiece. The right foundation can smooth an uneven texture of skin and help camouflage any tell tale blemishes. Concealer may also be used to disguise any sallow skin or dark under eye circles. Blush in the form of cream, gels, and pressed power can be used to accentuate cheekbones and add a rosy or bronzed tone to otherwise pale skin tone.

Your eyes are the mirror to your soul and also the focal point of your face. When your eyes are made even more expressive with smoldering colors of eye make-up you can speak volumes without even uttering a word. Different colors of eye shadows and eye liners can well enhance the natural color and shape of your eyes. Like fine delicate lace your eyelashes can be well defined with deft strokes of mascara while sparse eyebrows can be better outlined with brow pencils. Lip pencils, lip plumper’s, lipsticks and shimmering lip gloss can give definition and give even the thinnest of lips that ripe full look that is so popular and sought after right now.

In the past the words make-up and good for your complexion were seldom spoken in the same sentence, however in the last 10 years the cosmetic industry has begun to create their products with the consumer’s health in mind. Most products are put through stringent chemical and animal free testing before they reach the store shelves they are usually hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested and many popular make-up lines are moving towards creating their products with natural and organic ingredients that are kind to sensitive skin and offer some degree of sun block in the form of SPF protection for your skin.

As we all know it is impossible to turn back time, but with today’s scientific technology in the form of natural age defying, anti-wrinkle and anti-aging make-up products it is possible to keep them guessing longer. Thanks to the benefits of make-up keeping that dewy youthful glow comes in the form of lotions and potions that will keep you smooth, supple and looking younger from your tinted conditioned hair to your perfectly pedicured toes. Most makeup products have been shown to improve the skin’s elasticity and reduce the tell tale signs of aging leaving the well made up women feeling beautiful through all the seasons of her life.

So the next time you gaze into your mirror and wonder “Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?” You just might say ‘Thank you’ to the great benefit of make up that help enhance and preserve your natural beauty.

Eight Important Habits for a Beautiful Body

A lot of beauty fads and diet crazes have come and gone, but weight and skin problems are still here. Although these trends can help you lose a little weight or attain flawlessly beautiful legs for a year or two, your troubles will most likely come back if you do not make it a habit to take care of your body and skin. If you want to permanently lose weight, maintain an acne-free skin, and banish cellulite, you have to follow these eight habits for long-lasting beauty.

1. Get Ample Sleep

Many people sacrifice sleep in order to watch a movie, spend time with friends, do extra work, or just extend leisure hours. Since sleep is very important not only for maintaining your youth and beauty, but also in preventing a lot of diseases; it is a good habit to consider your priorities when it comes to weighing the reasons why you have to cut your sleep hours. If you just need to wait for your favorite program or extend your videogame playtime, then they are not worth skipping sleep for. If you fail to sleep soundly the night before, you can always take a 20-minute nap during the day to help you get through your day.

2. Drink Up

Water is crucial in many bodily functions so it is imperative that you drink not less than 8 glasses a day. Although soups and other beverages are also considered as fluids and can replace water, it is still wiser to choose water over other types of beverages because water does not contain calories, sugar or sodium.

3. Plan Your Meals For The Week

If you want to minimize eating out or having unhealthy food delivered to your house or place of work, it would be wise to take time in planning your meals for a week in advance. Meals planned ahead usually are healthier because you had time to think about them and consider their impact on your waist or skin.

4. Mind The Sugar

If there is one taste that all people from around the world truly love, it is sweet taste. However, most foods that are sweet contain high amounts of sugar, which is dangerous if taken in large amounts. Know that eating food that have high concentration of sugar can trigger obesity, metabolic diseases, diabetes and many other illnesses.

5. Quit Smoking

Studies have shown that cigarette smoking can make you look and feel several years older than your real age. Furthermore, dangerous respiratory diseases have also been linked to smoking. If you want to maintain your healthy and beautiful skin, you should stay away from this bad habit for good.

6. Have A Healthy Snack Ready

A lot of people have hunger pangs about two to three hours after eating their main meals, such as lunch or breakfast. In times like these, it is ideal to have a healthy snack ready so that you will not be tempted to grab a chocolate bar from the vending machine or order a burger with fries from a fast food chain. Nuts, apples, celery sticks, light cheese strings are some examples of healthy snacks.

7. Fit In Exercise In Your Busy Schedule

Being busy and having a tight schedule is not an excuse for skipping exercise. You need exercise to boost circulation and tone your body. If you want to be fit and healthy, you ought to undergo cardiovascular exercises and weight training. Exercise is also important in preventing the formation of cellulite on your thighs, legs, arms and tummy.

8. Moisturize Your Skin

Another important habit that should come naturally to you is putting on moisturizing creams on your face, neck and body. For the face and neck, you have to choose moisturizers that prevent wrinkles and other blemishes. On your hands and feet, find lotions that contain Aloe for smoother skin.

If you have cellulite problems, you should use an anti-cellulite lotion that does not only reduce the appearance of cellulite, but also helps keep your skin smooth and silky. One anti-cellulite product that can do that is Celrase. If you are interested to know more about Celrase, visit http://www.celrase.com.

Hair Beauty Products – a Guide to Healthy, Beautiful Hair

Hair beauty products cover a wide-range of products formulated to help you manage your hair.  Whether your hair is long, short, straight, curly; or, if you experience problematic hair, such as excessive oily or dry hair, scalp psoriasis, or have experienced damage from over-styling, heat, or from the environment, hair beauty products can aid healing and treating the follicles while adding fullness, beauty and life.

Shampoos

Shampoos have a general purpose – to clean your hair – pretty obvious.  Most of us are attracted and find our favorite shampoo by the way it smells (#1) and how well it allows us to manage our hair (#2).

Many shampoos are formulated to cleanse – but that’s where the comparison stops.  Most shampoos are formulated with surfactants (cleaning agents) that can be rather harsh on the scalp and hair – often creating more damage than relief.  As a result, many manufacturers have done extensive research to uncover organic or natural-based ingredients that not only cleanse, but are gentle on the scalp.

Some ingredients, such as Thyme, Sage and Emu Oil are becoming popular in that they help deep-clean, yet are gentle – and make an excellent shampoo for dry hair.  Recently, complexes like Zinc PCA and Jojoba Oil have found there way into the most effective shampoos.  They add body, deep clean, and leave hair manageable (#2) without harming the follicle root and shaft.

Conditioners

The primary job of the hair conditioner is to restore hair to its natural elasticity, infuse lost moisture due to styling and product usage, and to maintain cellular hair structure.

Infusing moisture is the main goal here.  Often moisture – which is the main component in hair health – is depleted and stripped.  If moisture is not regulated through diet, fluid consumption or through topical applications, it is necessary to “infuse” hydration externally.  Leave-in or rinse-out conditioners work equally well, while aiding in control and manageability.  Many have formulas which include Panthenol that helps heal and soothe the scalp, while others may add agents to give you thicker hair or increased control.

These are a few thoughts to keep in mind when considering hair beauty products. It helps to look at the labels and continue to experiment with different brands (and sub-brands) for products that work the best for your hair type and hair style.
